Services for Your District

Kyla demonstrates proficient knowledge of State standards for paperwork and services. She keeps lines of communication open in regards to questions and parent/school contact. Students enjoy working on speech/language skills through the teletherapy platform. Teachers and administrators are supporters of the therapy platform and often see a big improvement in their student’s skills. Overall, Kyla is a great professional and a great asset to our special services team!

Since 2016, we have been contracting with school districts to provide speech treatment, screening, evaluation, and case management all via the web. Our certified speech-language pathologists are able to provide all the services you’re used to getting from your past in-person SLPs. We are located in Missouri and our owner, Kyla Grahl, has a special interest in serving rural communities with reduced access to services.

We utilize an online program called "Blink Session" that's built just for therapists providing services via the web. In addition to the video/audio features to conduct the live sessions, it also has a white board and allows us to upload activities and videos to incorporate into the sessions and keep things highly interactive.

Your SLP will coordinate with teachers to schedule each student according to their needs. Generally speaking, the students do not need a staff member to sit next to them during the session, only to be there to help get them seated and log them in. Even as young as preschool, we have had no difficulty holding the student's attention during the session, with minimal adult intervention. It is somewhat of a perk to tele-practice, that the student gets to look at a screen...they typically find it exciting. Your therapist can provide one-on-one sessions or sessions in groups of 2, depending on the needs of the students and preferences of the district.

At their scheduled time, the students log on to the "therapy room" to begin the session. The session itself will look largely the same as a face to face session, with treatment of the student's individual goals through interactive speech activities and lesson plans. We have all of my most used workbooks uploaded to our "rooms" and a long list of videos that your therapist will incorporate when appropriate. The child is able to draw and click on the screen too, to keep them engaged. We keep individual data for each session that can be made available to staff or parents at any time.

We are also able to host group meetings through my online platform and can perform case management duties from afar.
